In the metaverse of Upland, a curious character known as Sir Devil the Steampunk Penguin was making his way around the Metaverse. Dressed in a top hat, monocle, and gears that clinked with every waddle, Sirdevil was on a mission: to visit the finest nodes & culinary delights across the metaverse’s most distinguished nodes.
Sirdevil’s adventure began in The Bronx, NY, at the cheesey node of Bronxdale. There, he admired the many map assets created by Morecheese and Detech. Morecheese is known for her pixel art style. She served Sirdevil a delectable dish called “Cheesey Peesey Pudding Pie,” made with virtual berries that changed flavor with each bite. As Sirdevil sampled the pie, his gears spun fast in delight.
Next, Sirdevil waddled his way to the spooky node in Queens called Creedmoor, home of the Digital ghosts and ghouls and run by the Shak Attack. The ghosts and ghouls, despite their fearsome appearance, were renowned chefs. They presented Sirdevil with a steaming bowl of “Pixelated Pasta Brains,” where each noodle was a different shade of neon. Sirdevil’s monocle fogged up from the steam, and he chuckled as the flavors danced in his beak.
Sirdevil’s third stop was the festive and fun node of LA, The Real Node LA, Run by Elijah. Here, the Glitzy Gliders, a group of fashion-forward photographer flying drone flamingos, welcomed him with open wings. They showed him beautiful arial photos of the node, and all its offerings. They then dined on “Electro-Eclairs,” pastries that glowed in the dark and tasted like sugary fireworks. Sirdevil’s top hat nearly blew off as he experienced the explosive flavors.
In Detroit, Sirdevil met the Growers of Green, Evergreen Lahser. Known for their magical bud, the Growers served up some “Coach Funk – Funky Gumbo,” a virtual stew that made Sirdevil’s gears hum with satisfaction, but also slow down and chill. The meal was accompanied by some Gin$krilla live graffiti art.
Finally, Sirdevil ventured to Brooklyn. There he was met by a hairy faced French man named Nociphe, the owner of the Red Hook. Nociphe had many French pastries spread out before the hungry penguin that were in the shape of Eiffel Towers. Sirdevil marveled at the creativity, his gears whirring in approval.
As Sirdevil the Steampunk Penguin concluded his tour of nodes, he realized that Upland was not just a metaverse of properties but a realm of endless flavors and friendships. With a satisfied belly and a heart full of memories, Sirdevil knew he’d be back for more gastronomic adventures. His gears clinked in harmony as he waddled into the sunset, ready for whatever magnificent map assets, and culinary delights the next node had to offer.
